We met Steve at a vendor event hosted by our wedding venue in January 2024, roughly 10 months prior to our originally planned wedding. Hurricane Helene delayed our celebration until November 2025, and we were so stoked we were still able to work with Steve. We were sold from the moment we met him. He’s everything you could want in your wedding DJ: gregarious without being intrusive, polite and well-spoken, and clearly has a good sense of curating music to fit the vibe. We had a pre-wedding meeting to review a shared Google Doc outlining the flow of the evening, music during dinner vs party time, announcing parents and wedding party into the reception, first dances, and other announcements to guests. Steve was incredibly organized, thoughtful, and receptive throughout. He offered suggestions and feedback that positively impacted the experience for us and our guests. He also provided tech assistance to our officiant, ceremony readers, and Asheville Choral Society who performed during the procession/recessional. We can’t say enough good things about Steve and Sound Extreme. So many of our guests shared this was the best wedding they ever attended, and we believe the music as well as Steve’s attention to detail contributed to that perception.
